Have you begun looking for a swimming pool contractor? If you have, you already know that you have choices. Maybe too many choices! It can be hard to know who to trust with your project. Let’s face it, building a swimming pool is not cheap and you want the project done right the first time.
So what things should you look for in a Swimming Pool Contractor? Here is some things to consider.
How long has the contractor been in business doing what you want done? Make sure the contractor has real experience. Some high profile “pool builders” in the area have never truly installed/built a pool themselves, they subcontract much of the project out. This can lead to serious problems in the future, such as settling, leaks and other structural problems. Is the person building your pool the owner of the company? If not, I would be concerned. It does not mean you could not get a good job, but no one cares more about doing a quality job than the owner/operator.
Look at the contractors other projects. Talk to their past customers. Look at their designs, and see if it fits your style.
How many projects have been done in your area. Look at them and ask questions. If a contractor does not answer your questions with patience, keep looking!
