3. Glass / Resin
Bulk Layer: Alaglass pools are
built with chopped fiberglass combined with
vinyl ester resin, providing additional strength
and durability that prevents the pool from
flexing or twisting during transport and
installation.
4. 36-ounce
Fiberglass Mat: Alaglass uses a
hand-laid, 36-ounce, bi-axle stitched fiberglass
mat to cover the complete floor of the pool and
one foot up all sides. This process is unique to
Alaglass and provides additional stability not
available in other fiberglass pools. Additional
layers are included on all stress areas for
maximum strength and durability.
5. Woven Rovin:
The final layer consists of overlapped,
hand-laid, 24-ounce woven rovin, combined with
GP resin on all sides and additional layers in
stress areas. The combination of a 36-ounce mat
and 24-ounce woven rovin makes the Alaglass pool
the strongest pool in the industry.
